The Japanese has won the last bronze of the Championship

The last bronze medal was drawn between Hungarian and Japanese female foil-fencers.

After 1/4-final victory upon Italians, Japanese team pretends to be one of the strongest. In semi-final they caught initiative and only in the middle of the bout let experienced Hungarians surpass them – 17:14. However, Yoko Makishita conquered Aida Mohamed – 6:1 and brought leadership back.

In the last duel Aida Mohamed paved the way to Chieko Sugawara – 27:25. Despite all efforts of Hungarian fencer, she didn't manage to bring to a rival. Japan won the bout – 33:31 – and became the 11th country, which has won medals at the World Championship in Saint-Petersburg.
